FacilitiesYou’ll always receive a warm welcome to the MIDRU building from our friendly and knowledgeable reception staff.  Whether you are a staff member, patient or client, our spectacular foyer and waiting area has been specifically designed to accommodate those quiet moments when you’re waiting, resting or simply need a place to think.  Wi-Fi, refreshments and comfortable seating are available throughout your stay. Whatever the purpose of your visit, our staff will guide you around the building as required.

Our clinical areas have been purpose built for clinical trial and technology evaluation activity and incorporate both individual outpatient rooms and an open ward and lounge area.  All areas are multi-disciplinary and suitable for use by a wide range of clinical research specialties.  In-house, dedicated pharmacy and laboratory sample handing areas enable convenient access to these key services for both staff and patients participating in clinical trial activity.  Our pharmacy has been built to accommodate a dedicated team and all trial supplies for projects conducted on the Heartlands Hospital site.

We appreciate that visitors, such as our pharmaceutical and medical technology company colleagues, often need a secure and quiet space to work for the day.  Our monitoring offices are available for this purpose and can be pre-booked through our reception teams.

For our tenants we have a range of facilities available, including break out areas, additional meeting and coffee rooms, access to reception and administration facilities.  We have created an environment ideal for informal gatherings between NHS, academic and industry tenants, a place to create and develop your ideas.  Meeting rooms are ideal for workshops, seminars and presentations and can be pre-booked through our reception team.
