MIDRU exists to encourage and facilitate the sort of research and development which is crucial to the NHS’s continuing success. We see ourselves as a hub, helping innovators bring their ideas into focus – and into reality!

Based on the site of the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust in the West Midlands of England, MIDRU brings together NHS, academic and industry expertise under one roof. Our dedicated, contemporary building houses superb facilities and fantastic staff. Our wide networks encourage collaborative clinical research and medical technology development, attract and retain expertise in the NHS, and contribute to local regeneration.

So MIDRU is about far more than clinical trials, and this website is your way into our services, projects and ethos.
